Understanding by Design
Connecting the Dots / Learning Village
Buck Institute

There are several templates available to assist with planning for PBL.

Understanding by Design - This Microsoft Word template is fairly compact and is an effective organizing tool.  It is an adapted version of the templates in the book, Understanding by Design, Expanded 2nd Edition  by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe.  This form is somewhat difficult to use in it's electronic form.

Connecting the Dots / Learning Village  Templates - This set of templates was developed for the VTCite course.  Although rather lacking in attractive layout or design, they are easy to fill out electronically.  The format is organized according to the sections of the Learning Village website so that the completed templates could be easily inputted into that data base, if desired or needed.  This is also the format of the templates that are being used in the Online Self Study Course (WSWSU Dots).

The Buck Institute Project Planning Form is best used with the Buck Institute web site guidance.  http://www.pbl-online.org/pathway2.html
