MRS. CENATE’S KINDERGARTEN CLASS Our theme for the week was the Weather and Hibernation! Next week’s theme will be Thanksgiving! Academic News *In Math this week we worked on symmetry, beginning addition with a ladybug addition game, dice games, teen numbers and more. *In Literacy this week: Students continued working on identifying and writing letters, and some students have begun sounding out words in beginning to read.  In writing, we encourage students to be sounding out the beginning sound of words. Other: We played a memory matching game with kinds of weather, we dressed a weather frog, made weather books, wrote about our favorite kind of weather, and more. A fun game they played on PBSkids.com was Thing 1 and Thing 2’s weather transformer. Reminders * I sent home notices with every student about what time your Parent Teacher conference is.  If you did not see this notice, please contact me so I can tell you when your conference is. *No school Friday,November 11th(Teacher In-Service) *1/2 days of school Thursday and Friday November 17th and 18th (Parent Conferences) *Dismissal is at 12 and students WILL have lunch at school on these  days.    Literacy Links Math Links Other Fun Sites
