The Chinese invented the Flame thrower to burn and fend off enemy invaders! It was very affective and forced the attackers to retreat, but it might have been so powerful it would kill some of their own men. It would also make the mistake of burning wildlife and trees. The Flame thrower wasn't a long range weapon, but was very affective.
